11. Reporting Content — Notice and Takedown

Reporter hosts content submitted by anonymous users. We do not review content before it is published, and we do not verify the identity or the claims of any user.

If you believe content on Reporter is defamatory, unlawful, or infringes your rights, tell us. Write to [email protected] with a link to the content, a description of the problem, and how to reach you.

What happens next. We acknowledge every complaint within 2 business days and decide within 5 business days of acknowledgement. We may remove the content, restrict access to it, or leave it in place, and we will tell you which. In clear cases — a credible threat, sexual content involving minors, publication of someone's personal information — we act immediately rather than waiting.

You do not need a lawyer or a court order to contact us. A plain email is enough. A formal notice or court order will of course also be acted on, but nothing here requires one.

Reporter users can also flag any report or comment using the flag icon. Content flagged by many users is hidden automatically pending review.

We keep a record of every complaint received and the action taken.
